June 3, 2017 Mile 0 and miles to go….

First stop was Chetwynd, British Columbia – the home of the International Chainsaw Carving Competition.  It was such fun walking and looking at each of the works of art!   A few more miles down the road — we made it to Dawson Creek!  Mile 0 of the Alaskan Highway!  We are staying at the Mile 0 Campground.  The visitors center (centre) is very helpful and gave us lots of maps and brochures.  Our sightseeing today consisted of the visitors center, the Alaskan Highway House museum, and a few stores for supplies.  Tomorrow starts a long leg of the journey!
