Hells Gate AirTramway was an interesting tourist attraction. The tram takes you down into the canyon, and has an educational exhibit about the early explorers, the railroad, and how fishways are designed to help the salmon. Juniper Beach Provincial Park was our stop for the evening. The area seems to be sort of desert-like. The river was rushing, so no fishing. We did see our first magpie (bird). They are really pretty, but a neighbor in the park said they could be a nuisance.
